Our optional fleece is highly recommended as we are all working in very well ventilated settings in accordance with Covid 19 recommendations.

Uniform for Years 1 to 6

Your child’s school uniform should be purchased at SCHOOL WEAR, 140 Brent Street, Hendon. NW4 2DR.

School Wear will have the full range of school uniform available which includes a fleece, a V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan, box pleat skirt, tie and P.E. top complete with logo.

School uniform should be purchased at School Wear because they sell uniform which is the correct shade of purple or items with the school logo on them. School Wear also supply dark grey trousers (without combat pockets) and the compulsory uniform items such as traditional box pleat skirts which the children are required to wear. You can also purchase the purple tie at Schoolwear. Children in years R, 1, 2 and 3 may wear an elasticated tie. Traditional white school shirts with collars (suitable for wearing ties) may be purchased from the retailer of your choice. Short sleeves may be worn in the summer. Summer dresses are not part of school uniform.

Black PE shorts, black plimsolls and dark tracksuit from any shop.

PE bag from School.

Book bag (and PE Bag) for all children from School. Order on ParentMail and the item will be given to your child.

Children who are not wearing correct uniform may be given a letter, given the opportunity to get the correct uniform or, as a last resort, may be sent home.

These will be supplied from the School Office.

To order your child's book bag and/or PE bag please use ParentMail (Payments/Shop) and the items will be given to your child in class.

PE Kit

PE kit is a house colour t shirt (available from Schoolwear) and black shorts.

This is compulsory for all children. Children should have plimsolls or go in bare feet for indoor PE. Trainers should be worn for outdoor games. A plain black tracksuit must be worn in colder weather for outdoor PE activities.

Please keep PE kit in school throughout the week as schedules sometimes change.

Shoes

Please send your child to school in sensible, smart, sturdy black shoes.

Children are not allowed to wear casual shoes that have the appearance of trainers. Children are not allowed to wear boots or fashion shoes in school.

Children in classes 3 – 6 may bring in trainers to change into on the days that they play football at lunchtimes.

Name Labels

Please, please can you make sure that all items of your child’s school uniform are named.

Unfortunately, items of uniform do get lost, but if they are clearly labelled they are much more likely to be returned to your child. Also, please check that your child has come home with their own uniform. If they come home with another child’s clothes, please hand the wrong clothes to your child’s teacher the next day. There are several methods of labelling, but many of our parents highly recommend My Nametags.

Hair

Children are expected to look smart.

Long hair should be tied back. Parents are politely asked to ensure that children have smart hairstyles. Shaved patterns in hair are not appropriate for primary school and parents are encouraged to consider what is appropriate to the age group.
