The PE kit consists of a house-coloured T-shirt (available from Schoolwear) and black shorts. This is compulsory for all children.
For indoor PE, children should wear plimsolls or go barefoot. Trainers should be worn for outdoor games. In colder weather, a plain black tracksuit must be worn for outdoor PE activities.
Please ensure that the PE kit remains in school throughout the week, as schedules may sometimes change.
Shoes
Please send your child to school in sensible, smart, sturdy black shoes.
Children are not allowed to wear casual shoes that have the appearance of trainers. Children are not allowed to wear boots or fashion shoes in school.
Children in Year 3 – 6 may bring in trainers to change into on the days that they play football at lunchtimes.
Name Labels
Please, please can you make sure that all items of your child’s school uniform are named.
Unfortunately, items of uniform do get lost, but if they are clearly labelled they are much more likely to be returned to your child. Also, please check that your child has come home with their own uniform. If they come home with another child’s clothes, please hand the wrong clothes to your child’s teacher the next day. There are several methods of labelling, but many of our parents highly recommend My Nametags.
Very good name tags can be bought from www.mynametags.comTel: 0800 298 4223
Hair
Children are expected to look smart.
Long hair should be tied back. Parents are politely asked to ensure that children have smart hairstyles. Shaved patterns in hair are not appropriate for primary school and parents are encouraged to consider what is appropriate to the age group.
